FISH RIVER CANYON
The canyon is situated in the south of Namibia, ± 200 km south-west of Keetmanshoop.
Open throughout the year. Acces from sunrise to sunset.
- Fish River Hiking trail
- The trail starts from the main viewpoint and ends at Ai-Ais. It is approx. 80 km long and takes 4-5 days to complete.
- Open from 15 April to 15 September.
- Groups of min. 3 and max. 40 persons. No children under 12 permitted. Reservations should be made well in advance.
- Hikers have to report at the Hobas office before starting the hike. They have to submit a recent medical certificate of fitness and complete an indemnity form.
- Own transport to the start of the hike and from the end must be arranged.
- Own food, water and equipment must be provided.
